Book of Drawings: Developing the Drawings Part 2

After doodling the small cat in a raincoat more I decided to abandon the idea of characters completely and start again under animals - this time the idea was animals in hats, which fit well with the top hat theme. I had not yet abandoned the idea of the six words randomly generated being my inspiration.

Once I was happy with the top hat idea, I struggled to think of concepts pertaining to the words and so instead just stuck with the theme of animals in hats. The deer in the knitted hat and scarf was something I enjoyed creating, and so was something I turned back to later on. Again, another major development and abandonment of old ideas for new.

From the deer in the hat I gathered the word 'woodland animals' and decided to maybe create a book of woodland creatures doing strange things - my first idea was a skunk drawing their own stripes on. Woodland creatures would be a topic I'd stick with, and so the idea for my final topic was now under way.
